ABOUT ME
I specialize in 20th-century Latin American literature with research foci on neo-baroque theories, decoloniality, and film studies. I obtained my PhD in Spanish and Portuguese at Purdue University in 2018 and taught at the College of Charleston from 2018-2021. Currently, I am based in my native Armenia where I am working on my first monograph titled The Neobaroque Effect: Contemporary Latin America and Remaking of Imaginaries which I will submit for review in 2024.
I have taught from beginner to advanced Spanish, as well as a variety of topical courses in literature, culture, and film.
